Bumdra Trek is the combination of easy trek around Paro with guided Paro, Thimphu and Punakha cities tour. This is the shortest available trek in Bhutan starting and ending in Paro which starts from the north of the valley and ending at the north-west of the valley ending at the Taktsang Monastery often popularly known as the ‘Tiger’s Nest’, one of the holiest places in Bhutan. 

The fight to Paro crosses the Himalayan Mountains, affording spectacular views of the awesome peaks, including the sacred jumolhari and jichu Drake in Bhutan  On arrival in Paro  Airport, you will be received by our guide and transfer to restaurant for lunch . After lunch, you will visit the Rinpung Dzong, the 15th century massive fortress which now serves as administrative and monastic center of the valley. Then drive to Thimphu Capital of Bhutan. Evening stroll in the city and absorb the lifestyle of people. Overnight in Thimphu.

Morning after breakfast you will drive about 50 minutes to the north of Thimphu. Our hike starts from the parking (2800m). Hike to Tango (3050) takes around one an half hour. The hike is gradual ascends in the forest of Rododendrons, silver fir and Hemlock. Explore the monastery which was in 15th century by Drukpa Kinley(Divine Madman. Lunch at Thimphu. After lunch we will visit King’s Memorial Chorten (which was built in honor of late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck), School of Arts and Crafts (also known as the painting school), Jungzhi Traditional paper factory, giant Buddha Staute and Tashichho Dzong, the seat of the national government. Overnight in Thimphu.

Today, you can enjoy the scenic drive to Punakha. En route we will stop at Dochula pass (3150 meters) where on a clear day you can get spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges including the highest peak of Bhutan Gangkar Puensum(7560m). We will hike from the pass for 2 hours to the Lungchutse temple. Hiking in the forest of Rhododendron,  fir and Oak. On the the ridges dotted with colorful Buddhist prayer flags.  On clear days, one can enjoy 360° view of the Himalayan mountain ranges from the top of Lungchutse temple.  After exploring the temple, you will hike back to Dochula. After lunch, drive downhill through the forest of rhododendrons,fir,and hemlock. You can visit Punakha Dzong, former capital and the most beautiful Dzong in Bhutan. Overnight in hotel

After breakfast, you will drive to Paro. Stop at Dochula pass and visit Druk Wangyal temple, which is on the hilltop. Enjoy Lunch in Thimphu. Then drive to Paro and visit Paro Rinpung Dzong. After exploring, walk down to the road point crossing Traditional Bridge. Overnight in Paro.

After breakfast, drive up to the Sang Choekor Monastery (2800m) in Paro, where our trek starts. From here, we can glance beautiful Paro valley. You will gradually ascents of a sandy for one to two-hour.  Hike another one to two hours, we will come across Chhoe Tse Lhakhang which offers incredible views of Paro valley and Himalayan mountains. After a final 20-minute climb through ruins and fluttering prayer flags, we fall back into ancient forest. About 40 minutes, you will be into a high wide meadow dotted with sacred Stupas and prayer flags. Your camp for the night is pitched just under Bumdra Monastery,3800m. (Cave of a Thousand Prayers) and offers stunning views of the Himalayan ranges.

Today, you will trek back into the ancient pine and rhododendron forest on the monks winding trail. After one to two hours of descent, you will catch glimpses of the temples below. The path snakes across the mountainside between these monasteries before reaching the gardens of Zangto Pelri (Heaven on Earth) from which you can peer over the edge, straight down onto the ornate rooftops of Taktsang Monastery(3150m) perched against the cliff-face far below. Follow a steep descent to a waterfall then up some steps and you’ll reach the Tiger’s Nest itself. Explore the monastery,descents of about 45 minutes to car parking.

You will drive to the airport for departure. Our representative will bid you farewell.
