We offer the finest native bird photography and natural history photography tours in the country.

On arrival at Airport, you will be received by the guide and transfer to the restaurant for lunch at Paro. After lunch we will drive to Drukyul Dzong and riverbank of Paro river for birding watching for Ibisbill, White Wagtail,Yellow-billed Blue Magpie and Spotted Nutcracker,Commom Hoopoe. Evening you can walk in the Paro town and interact with local people. Overnight in Paro.

Early morning, you will drive to Chele La Pass (3810m), which is the highest motorable pass in Bhutan. The species found in this area are Himalayan Monal, Blood Pheasant,Kalij Pheasant, Satyr Tragopan, Crested Serpent Eagle, Black Eagle, etc. Drive to Paro for lunch. After, lunch drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Evening strool in the city and absorb the lifestyle of the people. Overnight in Thimphu.

 

After early breakfast drive to Dodena north of Thimphu valley and river bank of Thimphu river, where you do birding. You may see, White-capped Water Redstart, Yellow-browed Tit,Yellow-billed Blue Magpie,White Wagtail,Grey Wagtail, Rufous-bellied Woodpecker, Chestnut-crowned Laughing Thrushes. You do some sightseeing in Thimphu. Overnight in Thimphu.

After breakfast, drive to Punakha stop at Dochula(3150m). You can enjoy the stunning view of Himalayan mountain. Drive downhill through the forest of Hemlock, Rhododendron and fir where you do birding species are Collared Grosbeak, Red Crossbill, Golden-breasted Fulvetta, White-browed Fulvetta, Fire-tailed Myzornis, Plain Mountain Finch, Mrs Gould’s Sunbird, Green-tailed Sunbird, Black-throated Parrotbill, Himalayan Bluetail, White-browed Bush Robin, Rufous-breasted Bush Robin, Rufous-gorgeted Flycatcher, Ultramarine Flycatcher, Brown Bullfinch, Red-headed Bullfinch, Chestnut-tailed Minla (Bar-throated Siva), Dark-breasted Rosefinch, Little Bunting, White-bellied Heron, Common Kingfisher, White-throated Kingfisher, Crested Kingfisher, Grey Treepie, Spotted Nutcracker, Speckled Wood Pigeon, Slaty-backed Forktail, Spotted Forktail, Eurasian Jay, Ultramarine Flycatcher, Rusty-cheeked Scimitar Babbler etc. You can do birding near the river bank and later visit Punakha Dzong, the most beautiful dzong in Bhutan. Overnight in Punakha.

Morning drive for birding Punakha to Gasa stretch we will sight Jungle Owlet, Asian-barred Owlet, Osprey, White-bellied Heron, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, Lesser Fish Eagle, Great Cormorant, Black-throated Sunbird, Green-tailed Sunbird, Black-throated Yuhina, Striped-throated Yuhina, Whiskered Yuhina, Straited Yuhina, Scarlet Minivet, Long-tailed Minivet, Grey-chinned Minivet, Barred Cuckoo Dove, Fire-breasted Flowerpecker, Darjeeling Woodpecker, Bay Woodpecker, Chestnut-headed Tesia, Slaty-bellied Tesia, Grey-bellied Tesia, White-gorgeted Flycatcher, Large Niltava, Small Niltava, Rufous-bellied Niltava, Great Barbet, Blue-throated Barbet, Golden-throated Barbet, Asian Koel, Grey-hooded Warbler, Golden-spectacled Warbler, Tickell’s Leaf Warbler, Lemon-rumped Warbler, Buff-barred Warbler, Yellow-bellied Fantail, White-throated Fantail, Rusty-fronted Barwing, Hoary-throated Barwing, Blue-fronted Robin, Lesser Shortwing, Himalayan Cutia, Green Shrike-babbler, Rufous-winged Fulvetta, Yellow-throated Fulvetta, Black-eared Shrike-babbler, Spotted Wren Babbler, Pygmy Wren Babbler, Speckled Piculet, Orange-bellied Leafbird, White-tailed Nuthatch, Maroon Oriole, Wedge-tailed Green Pigeon. Overnight in Punakha.

The remote Phobjikha valley is one of the most important wildlife preserves in the country.  Valley is popular for  winter home of the endangered Black-necked Crane in winter. The bird species found in this valley are Yellow-rumped Honeyguide, Blue-capped Rock Thrush,Fire-tailed Myzornis, Great Parrotbill, Alpine Accentor, Green-tailed Sunbird, Fire-tailed Sunbird, Rufous-vented Yuhina, Whiskered Yuhina, Scaly Thrush, Tickell’s Thrush, Fire-capped Tit, Amur falcon, Ward’s Trogon, Blue Rock Thrush, Black-faced Laughingthrush, Spotted Laughingthrush, Fire-breasted Flowerpecker, Red-headed Bullfinch, Scarlet Finch, White-tailed Nuthatch, etc. Overnight in Phobjikha .

After breakfast, Drive to Pele La Pass (3,300m) You may spot the Himalayan Monal, Spotted Laughingthrush, Himalayan Griffon, Brown Parrotbill, Great Parrotbill. From pass, if weather is clear we can catch scenic Himalayan peaks and you may encounter yaks. Then continue drive through the beautiful village of lontey and Chendebji village. Lunch at Trongsa, after that visit the Trongsa Dzong. which is the largest dzong in Bhutan and walk in the tiny town. Overnight in Trongsa.

 

Morning drive back to Punakha. En route, we will stop at Chengdebji Chorten which was built in the 18th century by Lama Shida in Nepalese style with eyes painted at four cardinal points. Stop at several spot for birding. On arrival in Punakha will go near river bank of Punakha river. Overnight in punakha.

After Breakfast, drive to Paro. En route visit The Royal Botanical Park, Lampelri. The park forms a biological corridor of 47 square miles (120 km2). Lunch in Thimphu. After lunch, further drive to Paro. Visit Archery playing ground where, locals are enjoying the match. Overnight in Paro.

Today, you can do birding as well as hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery, Bhutan’s most famous monastery, which located at face of the cliff( 3100m) offering the best view of Paro valley. According to the legend, it is believed that Guru Rinpoche, the 8th century Spiritual Master, flew to this location on the back of a tigress to meditate. Lunch will be served at Cafeteria Restaurant halfway up on the mountain. Explore the monastery and hike back to Paro. Overnight in hotel

After breakfast, you will drive to the airport for departure. Our representative will bid you farewell.
